Aromatherapy

Aromatherapy incorporates the use of scented essential oils into a massage. The massage involves alternating between gentle and harder pressure while using specific essential oils which have different properties. The essential oils are diluted before use and are applied along with MCT oil during the massage. Not only is the client's body benefiting with the direct contact with the essential oils, but the oils have specific healing properties upon inhaling after exposure. Aromatherapy is FREE with any massage session. We do not recommend this if you are pregnant or have severe allergies.

Hot Stones

Hot stones promotes deeper muscle relaxation through the placement of smooth, heated stones at key points on the body. The direct heat of the stones relaxes muscles, allowing the therapist access to deeper muscle layers. The therapist will make sure the hot stones are a suitable temperature and knead them into your back. This add-on takes about 5 minutes. Hot stones are FREE with any massage session.

Stretching Massage

Do your shoulders, or neck feel tight and cramped after sitting at a desk for hours? Are overly tight hamstrings making it hard to bend down and tie your shoes? Are you still nursing an old injury, like an ankle sprain, that makes it hard to walk longer distances without pain?

Stretching is a great way to keep the body limber, but not all of us are able to incorporate it into our daily lives. If a yoga class just doesn’t fit into your schedule, why not add some stretching to your massage treatment?

When combined with regular massage techniques, assisted stretching not only keeps your muscles supple, it helps your massage therapist work more effectively.

Stretch massage alleviates strain on your joints and has a slew of other benefits, including enhanced flexibility, improved posture, increased range of motion, and better circulation. Stretching is FREE with any massage session and lasts for several minutes.

Ashiatsu Massage Back Walking Milwaukee Brookfield Waukesha Near Me

AsHIATSU Back WALKING Massage

Ashiatsu is a barefoot massage technique, where the massage therapist applies pressure to the client’s body using their feet (as opposed to their hands), and it is done while suspended above the client using bars attached to the ceiling. It uses deep tissue compression to provide muscle relief, but unlike the Deep Tissue style (where the massage therapist uses their elbows and knuckles to apply the pressure to precise points), Ashiatsu uses more broad, consistent pressure, and relies on gravity to do the work (instead of force). The contours of the therapist’s foot work smoothly against the client’s body. If you want the benefits of deep tissue, without the fear of sharp pains or discomfort that can come from elbows and knuckles, then this is the style for you!

Ashiatsu style massage can help with decreasing chronic tension, freeing pinched nerves, relieving back spasms, increasing range of motion/elongating muscles, improving posture, detoxifying muscles and decreasing pain. This style of massage is not permitted for those who are pregnant.

Cupping

Cupping therapy is a traditional, time-honored practice that utilizes the techniques of negative pressure rather than tissue compression. It has been used for many years to alleviate discomfort in musculoskeletal, dermal, digestive, and psychological conditions. Cupping massage is a safe and non-invasive modality that uses suction cups to create decompression, rather than tissue compression. This decompression helps relieve aching muscles and joint stiffness, reduce inflammation and provide relief for many acute and chronic conditions. While some people find cupping to be a unique experience, others find it to be very enjoyable and quite relaxing. Cupping will take about 10 minutes but the therapists will massage other areas of your body during that time. Please drink plenty of water before and after your cupping session to flush any toxins. Do not shower immediately after a cupping session. Cupping will leave marks on your back which will take a week to disappear. Cupping is $10 with any massage session but recommended for sessions 60 minutes or longer.

Guasha

Guasha Massage is a natural, alternative therapy that involves stroking the skin to improve circulation. This traditional Chinese healing technique may offer a unique approach to better health, addressing issues like chronic pain.

Using a specially designed instrument made of horn, stone, bone or other materials, along with the appropriate oils for lubrication, the therapists strokes an area of the body, such as the patient’s neck or back. After a few moments the skin begins to turn red, and then a particular kind of marking starts to appear on the skin.

Guasha massage is intended to address stagnant energy, called Qi, in the body that in TCM theory is responsible for inflammation. Inflammation is the underlying cause of several conditions associated with chronic pain. Guasha is able to help break up this energy, reduce inflammation, and promote healing. Guasha massage may reduce inflammation, so it’s often used to treat ailments that cause chronic pain, such as arthritis and fibromyalgia, as well as those that trigger muscle and joint pain. Guasha takes a few minutes and is $10 with any massage but recommended for sessions 60 minutes or longer. Marks may take about a week to heal. Please drink plenty of water before and after your session and refrain from showering immediately after your session.
